Just over a year ago I wrote of the sadness I was experiencing as I handed the keys to 250 Great South Rd over to Kiwirail.
As I write this, with the impending opening of our new Roma Coffee site directly across the road from our old position, it is an entirely different set of emotions that I am feeling.
Excitement as we put the finishing touches to the shop.
Nervousness about this weeks opening hoping everything runs smoothly.
And anticipation of seeing old faces and new back in the store.
I am also feeling a sense of pride that we have been able to go full circle and come back to Drury where it all started 17 years ago.
With all that is happening with the reshaping of old Drury town, thanks to A.T. & Kiwirail, it is heartening to know that we can keep going in new sites, and that business affected by the public works act, will find new ways to trade and keep our community strong together.
So with that being said, I am pleased to announce that the opening day of the new and improved Drury Roma Coffee Roastery will be Thursday the 21st of November ( opening hours 6.30 – 3.00 ).
We are located at 257 Great South Rd, directly across the road from our old site.
We will be shouting the cups of coffee all day to thank our loyal supporters and newcomers alike.
